Julie's whole world changed during COVID.
After 27 years of teaching dance in the Peterborough area – pouring her heart into her studio and her students – she had to make the gut-wrenching decision to close her doors.
And then? Life kept coming. She got married (the good part). But she also lost her father. And her best friend. All within months of each other.
So there she was... grieving, processing, trying to figure out who she even was anymore without the studio that had defined her for nearly three decades.
That's when she found yoga teacher training at Peterborough Yoga and Wellness.
Not because she wanted to teach. She didn't. She just needed a way to move through the grief. To breathe again. To feel like herself.
But here's what happened:
As Julie blended her lifetime of dance experience with what she was learning about yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement... something clicked. She felt that old, familiar pull. The one that had driven her for 27 years. The pull to share this with others in her community.
And that's how Inspired Movement by Julie was born.
Today, Julie teaches at both Peterborough Yoga and Wellness and runs her own heart-centered studio right here in Peterborough – offering Total Barre, ZEN-GA, Yoga and Rebounding classes that support not just your strength and mobility... but your emotional well-being too.
Because Julie gets it. She's been through it.
She creates small-group classes in Peterborough where you are seen, supported, and never, ever judged – whether you're brand new to movement or returning after years (or decades) away.
Her goal is beautifully simple:
To help people in Peterborough feel better in their bodies, sleep more deeply, and rediscover the pure joy of moving again.
